Stephanie and I decided to visit Van Groovy today! And of course we had to pick the one day in which he had tons of kids in his classroom to do corrections and whatever in there.

Although we didn’t really talk to him we had a lot of fun with the brief time we spent in B-13. We played with his phone, read all the texts he received on his birthday, took photos, changed his wallpaper, made caller id’s for our friends’ numbers on his contacts. Van Groove is such a good guy. Can’t wait to go to another Padres game with him!

So what’s up with the comment on the bored? Oh the many controversial things you can find or hear in his classroom. I was directed to ask one of the boys working on whatever math thing in which he told us that he and his girlfriend randomly wrote “Communism” under one of those short-term/long-term objective things on the bored. Sturgeon saw and got pissed! haha, love that part. She always gets pissed at him! So that’s why the wrote it on the board. Cute story. But then….

Stephanie: Communism isn’t all that bad of an ideology.

Me: *glares at Stephanie*

Stephanie: *smiling, joking, still not getting it…

Me: Stephanie, I’m Vietnamese.

Oh my goodness she like forgot. It was hilarious! Even though she was joking and I glared at her and she didn’t seem to realized why it would be super offensive! Maybe you had to be there, but it was a good moment.
